"CYOM: The Big Race (continued...) "

(...back)

You cross the finish line triumphantly with your arms raised high. You won the race in record time. In fact, you cut the galaxy record in half despite the fact that your right hamstring literally exploded down the backstretch. But you are a Champion – and that’s all that matters now.

You are adorned in gold and sneakers and almost immediately begin to act like a complete jackass. Being a Champion is everything you dreamt it would be.

But wait; people are starting to wonder. They say you are too good. They want an investigation.

You are nervous. And, let’s face it, you feel guilty. This is crazy. Your hamstring just exploded for crying out loud. Maybe you should just come clean about everything. Who wouldn’t rather be a Champion than spend all day in the Giant Ditch? The people will understand why you did it.

But still, they might not.
